Contracts and Procurement

Milton Keynes Council (MKC) purchases goods, works and services totalling £200 Million a year from the private, public and voluntary sectors to meet corporate objectives and to provide high quality and cost effective services to its staff and residents.

The Contracts and Procurement Group is available to provide advice and guidance to MKC staff in sourcing and tendering. Our aim is to help you obtain best value for money, to give advice and guidance on the procurement processes meeting EU and MKC procurement legislation.

The Contracts and Procurement Group is comprised of eight staff who are able to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of the procurement process and are fully conversant with MKC legislation, EU legislation and the Freedom of Information Act.

The Contracts and Procurement Group are responsible for:

• Managing the tender to contract process
• Supplier and Contract Performance Management
• Making recommendations to improve processes
• Ensuring the Councils Procedural Rules and the EU Procurement Directives are met.
